⎇ About · The Static Principle

Two planes, one hard boundary.

MetaX once claimed, plainly: "no database, no login wall, no client-side fetch." Authentication, payment and per-user state entered the estate — and made that sentence false. A false claim on a doctrine page is precisely the failure mode this estate exists to prevent, so the sentence was not left standing and not quietly deleted.

A doctrine page that quietly acquires exceptions is worse than one that never existed.

▤ Charter §0.6 · The partition

The content plane, and the identity & commerce plane.

The principle was not abandoned; it was partitioned. The estate now runs two planes, and the difference between them is not cosmetic — it is a difference in what each is allowed to do.

✦

The Content Plane

metax.academy, toptech., bcia., academies., library., lexicon., verify., and every {academy}.metax.academy. Static, pre-rendered, crawlable and archivable. Holds no state. Renders completely and legibly with JavaScript disabled. Indexed and archived. Publishes claims.

🔑

The Identity & Commerce Plane

auth., pay., me.. Stateful — sessions, entitlements, intents, artefacts. Requires JavaScript. Never indexed, never archived. Publishes no doctrine, no curriculum and no claim.

⊢ The boundary rule
The content plane may be decorated by the identity plane but never depends on it.

Concretely: a signed-in visitor on a series page receives the same HTML as an anonymous visitor, plus an identity bar and up to three entitlement chips injected by a single ≤ 4 KB script. If that script fails, times out, or is blocked, the page is unchanged and unbroken.

✅ ST-19 §3.4 · Proved, not promised

The exception is mechanically tested.

This is the only sanctioned exception to "no client-side fetch", and it is not asserted on trust.

①

Built twice

The estate is built once normally, and once with the identity script stubbed to throw an error.

②

Diffed

The two rendered outputs are compared for any difference in the rendered content.

③

Fails the build

Any difference fails the build. A content page that changes when the script dies is a broken content page.

⚠ Where the principle bends

What was genuinely given up.

Saying "partitioned" rather than "abandoned" is a description, not a defence — and the reader is entitled to judge the trade for themselves.

◐

No longer wholly static

Three named hosts now hold state. That is a real change and it is written down with its date, not smoothed over.

🗄

No longer "holds no personal data"

Sessions, entitlements and learner artefacts are held on auth., pay., me. — classified Class 4 under MX-003 and retained under MX-018.

🧭

What survived — the part that mattered

Every claim, every credential record, every doctrine and curriculum page remains readable, citable and archivable by a stranger with no account, no JavaScript and no permission.
