๐Ÿ”ด Gated ยท Under Remediation

BCIA.
The living substrate.

Biological / living Computational-Information Architecture is the research pillar exploring computation in living and embodied systems. It is under remediation โ€” we teach toward it, never as settled doctrine. Read the honesty layer before anything else.

A field that cannot state its own limits is not a field yet. BCIA states them first, loudly, and in public.

โš  Read this first
BCIA is not a finished body of knowledge. Several early claims failed critical audit and are being corrected in public. Nothing on this pillar should be cited as established science until it clears the publication-readiness protocol.

โ—‰ What it is ยท and is not

Precision before ambition.

โœ”

What BCIA is

A disciplined, decay-aware study of information architecture in living and embodied substrates โ€” with governance built in from the first line, and every claim dated and falsifiable.

โœ•

What BCIA is not

It is not a claim that biology beats silicon today, not human-cell research, and not a marketing story. The DishBrain-vs-DeepMind "28,800ร—" style like-for-like efficiency claim is banned as a category error.

โ–ค The Eight Series

The BCIA gateway (S48โ€“S50 shipped-as-gated; eight-series arc planned).

The gateway introduces the field responsibly. The full eight-series arc is planned and will publish only rung-by-rung as each clears audit.

โš– The Charter

The human-cell exclusion is absolute.

No part of MetaX research uses, models, or advocates the use of human neural cells or human-derived neural tissue for computation. This exclusion is non-negotiable and applies across every pillar, series and academy.
01
Governance from line oneThe Cloister / Atrium model governs scope, ethics and provenance.
02
Provenance & careEvery substrate claim carries origin, method and a care standard.
03
Decay clauseClaims expire. What is durable, semi-durable, or perishable is stated explicitly.
๐ŸŽ“ Pedagogy

Every BCIA lesson ships with a Limits module and a Bridge lesson.

๐Ÿ“‰

The Limits module

Before any capability is taught, the lesson states what the approach cannot do, where the evidence is thin, and which claims are contested. Limits come first, not as a footnote.

๐ŸŒ‰

The Bridge lesson

Each module connects back to the Ascent rung it depends on, so no BCIA idea floats free of its substrate and mathematics.

๐Ÿ—บ Volume Roadmap

Document Zero & the seven bases.

Document Zero establishes the seven bases the whole pillar stands on. Volumes publish only after Document Zero and the critical audit are settled.

๐Ÿ› Governance
BCIA sits inside MacroLifeTach (Meta-X) โ€” the civilizational research umbrella. Its governance is the Cloister (scope & ethics) and the Atrium (open review). Read the wider context on the MacroLifeTach page.
